2026 Robot Battle Competition: Technical and Judging Rules Update

۱۴۰۵/۰۷/۰۴ 2 Min Read

Greetings and best regards to all teams and participants of the 2026 Robot Battle Competition,

Please be informed that in order to improve the quality of the competition, increase transparency in judging, and facilitate conditions for the teams, the Technical and Judging Committee has decided to make amendments to the rulebook. All teams are requested to carefully review these changes and incorporate them into their robot design and match strategies.

A summary of the key changes to the rulebook is as follows:

1. Change in the reset rule during robot flips: According to the new amendment, if a robot is flipped or overturned for any reason, the referee will no longer issue a “reset” command (stopping the match and returning the robot to its initial state), and the match will not be paused. Therefore, it is highly recommended that teams incorporate necessary self-righting mechanisms into their robot’s design to return to a normal driving position.

2. Change in the status of the Fail-Safe system in the Student League: The requirement to install an automatic stop system (Fail-safe) for teams participating in the Student League has been removed and is now optional. However, to encourage teams to adhere to the highest safety standards, teams that successfully implement and test this system on their robots will receive bonus points during the technical evaluation.

3. Removal of the limitation on video review requests: Previously, each team was only allowed to submit one video review request throughout the entire tournament. This limitation has been lifted in the new version of the rules. From now on, at the end of each match, the team leader has the right to formally submit a video review request for that specific match if there is any ambiguity or objection to the referee’s decisions.

To download the complete and updated version of the rulebook, please visit the “Rules and Regulations” section on the competition page or the main menu of the website. Should you have any questions or concerns, the technical support team is ready to assist you.
